Ex-MYCO members enjoy a whole variety of opportunities. Find out more about what three previous members have been up to.

Andy Macintosh

Andy, who played Riff in West Side Story, appeared as Lysander with Creation Theatre in its production of A Midsummer Night's Dream last July. The show was an amazing experience with scenes taking place in different locations around Oxford, with small groups of audience members criss-crossing and watching things in a different order yet everything interlocking together and resulting in a joint finale in the gardens of the architects Grey, Baynes and Shew.

Ashley Harvey

ashleyAshley, who played Javert in Les Misérables, is touring with Horrible Histories, but has also found a side line in the Just Eat adverts boyband!

Ellie Coote

Ellie, who played Laurie in Oklahoma!, has been directing while studying English at Cambridge. She already has a successful production of West Side Story under her belt. Her main challenge was the rehearsal scheduling with a group of very busy and talented students. She says: "Directing has given me more skills than my degree has managed in nearly two years. I have also found that nothing's worth doing if it's not at least a little bit scary."

Emily Berrington

emilyEmily, who starred as Mabel in Pirates of Penzance, has once again been starring in Channel 4's award winning series Humans, while her sister, Katie, continues to work for Vogue. The two of them make an incredibly stylish pair! Emily has also been working with the Labour Party, featuring in a video which urged young people to vote in the recent European Referendum.

Ed Blagrove

ed-blagroveEd has been working with BMH Productions as part of the Oxford Shakespeare season. Having been performing one-hour versions of the Bard's plays at the RSC's Dell theatre for the past eight years, this year they brought two of them to Oxford, on the same night, with the same cast in both plays! The audience marvelled at the tragic journey of Macbeth from noble, loyal Lord to vengeful King and then laughed at Bottom's transformation from hapless amateur actor to full on Ass!

BMH's Macbeth was a full-on medieval affair with broad swords aplenty. Their fast-paced A Midsummer Night's Dream was a more modern and twisted take on the story. As always, waterproof ponchos were available free of charge!
